5 Geeky Gifts for the artist in your life!

Hi Kittens,
How are you doing? Totally sick of gingerbread lattes yet? (I'm not) We only have a few short weeks till Christmas time and I'm so excited! As an artist, I can vouch that we pretty much always love getting new art supplies as gifts. But if you've been feeling  overwhelmed every time you walk into your friendly neighborhood craft store, it can be hard to figure out what on earth to buy! So, here's a couple of ideas.

1. USB Coffee warmer
This one from ModCloth is so adorable! Disclaimer: I've never actually used this product, however I think it would be a really nice gift for someone like me, who likes drinking lots of cozy warm beverages and has ditched their microwave. Would it be dorky to use in a coffee shop? I'd be willing to take the risk...

Extra note: EatYourKimchi Did a really great review on a usb warmer over on youtube. although it's not the one pictured above, I think it's still worth a watch if you're considering gifting this product to one of your buddies.

2. - Picture of me with custom mug-
Can you sneakily get a hold of a high res artwork file your friend has made? Make them a custom mug featuring their artwork! There are so many places to get things like this printed, VistaPrint, Zazzle, CustomInk are just a few of many places to get things like this printed and it will definitely make them smile.

3.Help them get organized! Chances if your friend is anything like me, one of their desk drawers are a mess of loose pencils and erasers. Why not find a cute solution to that problem? I use a cute bunny case to store my markers, and it always make me smile. Bonus points if you add a few of their favorite pencils or markers on the inside.

4. Sometimes we want to draw something, but we just don't know what. That's why guided journals can be so much fun. I've been eyeing this one in particular. Simple with plenty of room to doodle. :D  They also have versions for different types of drawings, and even one for writers.

5. And lastly, while you have endless options of mugs, cute desk accessories, and big ol' art supply gift sets, ask yourself, what's something your friend love and doesn't get a chance to enjoy? The answer could be found in fancy bubble bath, coffee, or a groupon for a night out together (Indoor skydiving or canning class anyone?) The best gifts come from the heart, so give it some thought, and I know you'll find the answer.
