Top 3 Comic Book Movies

Hey Everyone, 
For today's MakingComics.com mini challenge, I made a really brief youtube video, rattling off three of my favorite comic book movie adaptations, and thought it would be fun to make a little blog post to go along with it again. :)

1.

Number One on this list has to be Scott Pilgrim! Everything from the casting, setting, and just all of those cartoony effects made it feel so true to the comic! No matter how many times I've watched that movie, whenever it comes on, I'm hypnotized, I can't turn it off. It's such a good story to begin with, and I really do think that the movie 'got it right'.

I love finding these side by side images of the comic panels next to screen shots of the movie. As a comic creator, this movie just really made my heart light up. :)

2. Sabrina the teenage witch! Before this was a movie, or a t.v series, it was a comic! This movie (and the t.v show) totally helped shape my childhood, and fueled my dreams of having a talking cat and levitating in my sleep, and being able to transform my hair/outfit with just the wave of my finger. I love this series, and probably always will.

3 No shame. The X-men movies are awesome.


4. (bonus) Okay, so this isn't a favorite yet but, I have a strong feeling It's going to be one. I cannot wait to see the Princess Jellyfish movie!  From the look of the trailer it really seems like they've done an amazing job on adapting the story, all of the shots and characters look so good! rnglarngjadv gnasiwejrqbgafalgfjgn!!! Excuse me while I fan-girl...
