I can't believe next week is already Thanksgiving! Earlier today my mom called to ask me about menu planning, and my heart skipped a beat "Thanksgiving is NEXT thursday?!" I exclaimed, and still can't quiet wrap my head around where time has been speeding off to lately. I'm going to try to re-create the slow cooked orange peel cranberries with rum that I made last year. (Even though, I've totally forgotten the recipe.) With the power of google, it can't be too hard right? ...Right?
Anyways, with Thanksgiving on the brain, I wanted to join in once more on TheNerdieGirlie's #5FandomFriday with "Characters I Would Invite To My Thanksgiving Feast" My family already has a pretty full table, So I'd have to pick some folks who wouldn't mind all the fun, chaos, and fart jokes...
1. Mal Reynolds
Hope his tight pants have an elastic waist... Honestly, I debated on making this list all characters played by Nathan Fillion, because, who DOESN'T want to be sitting at that table? But ended up landing on this Captain, for his witty personality and charm. Plus, if he wants to get festive, we all know he looks good in a bonnet.
2. Tina Belcher
Butt jokes, awkward humor, she'd fit in with my family pretty perfectly. Plus, She would be a riot if we read recipe comments outloud again. (If you haven't watched the video at the link, you totally should.) After dinner she could read us all a sample of her latest friend-fiction.
3.Jerrica Benton
Sure Jerrica Benton might be busy leading a double life, but the girl is organized! Not only would she probably show up with a pretty decent side dish, but we might even get a surprise appearance from Jem (hopefully it includes a heartfelt song!)
4 & 5 Okay, yes I am fully aware I only have two spots left, But I'm going to cheat a little, because how can I not want my five main characters to jump from the comic pages of Pumpkin Spiced and into a big real life holiday celebration?! They're already a part of the family, so transporting all of them into the real world would be too cool to pass up. And Violett's commentary watching The Grumpy Cat Christmas movie would be purrr-fect.
That's all for today! Hope you enjoyed my second attempt at #5FandomFriday's and I'll talk to you all soon. In the meantime though, let me know who you'd invite to your dream thanksgiving feast in the comments below, or send me a tweet. <3
Have a great weekend all!
-Paige
