Waffles, Roses, and Daisy Chains

On our last full day in Portland we decided to walk over to food-cart land and find some breakfast. We wandered past a cute little place the night before with some pretty delicious sounding waffles. The Gaufre Gourmet sure enough they were opened in the morning! I decided to go for the "Milk and Honey" waffle and it did not disappoint. It was probably the greatest waffle I've ever consumed. Just thinking about it right now makes me want to hop on a plane! (it was that good you guys)

After that we explored the pearl district and I fell in love with the street art signs we saw along the way. Things like "I hope you feel beautiful today" scrawled onto pieces of brown paper made us stop and smile every time.

We did some more adventuring and after doing shots of hot chocolate at Cacao we hopped on the bus and met our new friend Jena for lunch and a tour around some gorgeous rose gardens. (Thanks again Jena for the awesome day!) We ended up at a big park and sat in the grass chatting while making stick houses and daisy chains. <3

After a bus ride home, accidental nap, the night ended with some amazing pizza, cider and dreams of waffles dancing in my head.
