Merry Christmas! -Try a little kindness

Hey Guys,
It's what I like to call Christmas Eve's Eve today, and the start of a lot of celebrations with family throughout the next weeks. Cards have been mailed, gifts wrapped, and sticky buns made with peanut butter, bananas and oats are waiting to be popped in the oven tomorrow morning. I've kind of been falling on and off the clean eating band wagon the last few weeks. So, i figured i'd attempt something simple and festive (I'll share the recipe on here if they turn out well)
One thing I can't help but notice, whether it be when i'm out running errands, browsing the internet, or talking in the phone. It seems like instead of happiness and cheer, everyone is filled with stress, and anger towards each other, and that makes me kind of sad. .

I know it's different from person to person, everyone has a different story, and things they're dealing with in their personal lives. This morning for instance, I walked into a crowded post office to mail my belated Christmas cards, i stood in a long line of people playing on their phones, and scowling at each other. When i reached the cashier, she seemed at her wits end. Not angry, but she just looked down.

I noticed she had a pair of super adorable Christmas tree earrings on "Your earrings are so cute!" I said, and little by little as she scanned my letters the postal worker seemed to light up, her voice softened, and she told me that her friends and family always give her fun christmas earrings, so she has a whole box of them that she wears during december.

"Have a Merry Christmas" She said cheerfully as I left.

I hope the rest of her day is nice :) and that more people are willing to be open and receptive to positive interactions, smiles and acts of kindness throughout the season (and in life, in general)

Whether it's something easy, like smiling at someone, lets all try to make someones day a little brighter <3

xoxo Paige

  1. I don't know why it took me so long to realize you had a blog! ^^
I've noticed people being more tense this year, too. It's great how a little effort towards cheer can brighten the moods of those around you- like how you did at the post office.

I know this is a little late, but I drew a Christmas card for my internet friends- and I wanted to share it with you too!
