I was a blogcademy sponsor!

Illustration of Gala Darling i doodled while watching The Blogcademy Live Podcast.

When i saw the "call for sponsors" post on the Blogcademy website
a million things ran through my head.

"E-mail them!" Said the first one loudly.
But it was soon drowned out by my over bearing inner critic, telling me
over and over that my work was "probably not good enough."

I mulled it over all night, and after a few pre-email pep talks, I put together
a pdf of samples of my work, and a sketch of the kind of hat I'd like to make
for them. I was greeted back quickly with a very sweet email that not
only hushed my inner critic, but also made me grin ear to ear.

In short, I was asked to make three custom hats for Kat, Shona, and Gala.
Completely over the moon I whipped up these three little hats,
Ever since my etsy shop has been buzzing with a lot more traffic,
and I've been feeling more motivated than ever to get the ball
rolling with my designs again. So expect to see a lot more
new hats, and headpieces on the shop these coming weeks. :)

The moral of this story is, Don't let your inner critic bully you
into missing out on an opportunity that you really want.
If i had i would have never had such a great experience.

I really hope to go to a class in the future <3
It looks like so much fun!

Check out these posts on The Blogcademy, Nubby Twiglet, Rock and Roll Bride, and
Gala Darling about the Portland event. <3 The sweet things that they wrote
about my hats put such a spring in my step! If you're attending the NYC blogcademy
be on the lookout for some more of my handmade goodies in the gift bags!

Thanks Headmistresses <3

xoxo Paige
